Growing up in the western suburbs of Chicago, then moving to Boulder City, Nevada in 1995, Lindsey immediately fell in love with the desert climate and landscape. In an effort to enhance the natural beauty of the desert through appropriately designed spaces, she decided to pursue her passion for architecture after leaving a career in commercial real estate in 2008. She completed her Master of Architecture degree at the UNLV School of Architecture in 2012 and received her NCIDQ Certification for Interior Design in 2015. Having worked for several architecture firms in Southern Nevada Lindsey gained experience in desert regional design, project management, and construction administration of both large and small projects. Through experience she found the greatest enjoyment working with clients that have an appreciation for design, but lack the time or knowledge to coordinate the necessary efforts to transform their ideas into a reality. By her own words, “The key ingredients for a successful project are listening, learning and laughing.”
Design is an omnipresent social force that drives human interaction and fosters cultural awareness. Ideally, design is both sustainable and flexible because as cultures continue to evolve and change, design should follow. A thoughtfully designed environment offers more than shelter; it enables and inspires its users.
